Shrimpy the Shrimp Monster

Description

Hey! So, for those not aware, I'm in the (long) process of making a fan-video of Dethklok's "Murmaider II: The Water God."

You can see clips and storyboard roughs on my youTube here:

This was originally going to be the Big Bad monster the mermaid had to face, but I feel that it's a little too complex for an animation, although I might try and include a simplified version~

Especially the torso area. I feel that it's a bit too 'busy' there (maybe if I include color, it'll be easier to distinguish leg from body....?)

I got inspiration from delicious shrimps, but I kinda got carried away....looks more like an alien bug, but whatever~

Original work! Please don't copy or distribute without prior consent!

Critique would be most appreciated fellas <3

EDIT: Colored version here!

This is a style i think you should explore more often.

This is an interesting design, I can totally see the resemblance to shrimp, take away all the arms an it actually looks pretty tasty.:D
The spots shaded black add a lot of dimension, it almost looks like it was passed through a 3d rendering program. Even though there is only one type of line weight on the outline, it's not too hard to tell each area apart from the other. The little antenna tendrils are my favorite part, lot's and lots of carefully placed lines.

Great job on this, I also took a look at the one that has the word Shepperd, that one is also great, can't wait to see it up here.

Ps: i like your new signature.:)
